Practise: Naked Pair
Look only at the highlighted unit. Which two squares show exactly the same two small digits?
The three prepared candidate squares are in the highlighted row or column. Find the matching pair first; do not try to place a digit yet.
Example 1 of 4
Your turn first
Which two squares match?
Look only at the prepared notes in the highlighted unit. Find the two squares with the same two digits. Which digits can you then cross out elsewhere?
Remember
A Naked Pair is simple: the same two notes in two squares reserve both digits, so they disappear from every other square in that unit. The pair itself does not place either digit yet.

Medium grids are where this move starts to matter: the obvious cells run out and the pattern takes over.
