Questions about the Killer solver

1Does the Killer solver need the cage totals?
Yes. A Killer Sudoku is not defined by its visible digits alone. Enter every outlined cage and its printed total; the solver checks that each square belongs to exactly one cage.
2Is my puzzle sent to a server?
No. The cage map, digits, uniqueness check and bounded solve run locally in your browser. Nothing from your puzzle is sent to our server.
3Why does it say there is more than one answer?
One or more cage totals, cage cells or given digits are likely missing or incorrect. The solver refuses to present an arbitrary answer when the entry is ambiguous.
4Can I scan a Killer Sudoku from a photo?
Yes. A photo can read printed digits and trace cage outlines with their totals. It applies a cage map only when every square is covered exactly once and every total is legal; otherwise it keeps the recognized digits and guides you through the precise manual cage editor.
